ProMediaGear GT1 Tomahawk Gimbal Attachment for Ball Heads Overview
The ProMediaGear GT1 Tomahawk Gimbal Attachment is an affordable solution if you do not need a separate gimbal head. It attaches to a regular ball head and you have a gimbal when needed.
The Tomahawk mounts to any Arca-type clamp ball head. Once done, it provides a smooth panning movement with tilt and swing.
Weight limit is not a huge concern too as it has a max load capacity of up to 25 lbs. But is just a conservative number. It can accommodate more weight depending on the ball head.
It is also rugged and durable - all thanks to the solid T6061 aircraft-grade aluminum construction. To top it off, it has an anodized scratch-resistant finish.
If you do not have a tripod, it attaches to a monopod too via the standard mount at the bottom.
What makes it different to the GKJr Katana Pro and the GK Katana Gimbals?
In terms of functionality, it works the same. But the GT1 Tomahawk is not a stand-alone gimbal. It needs a ball head to work.
The GT1 Tomahawk is a great alternative to a dedicated gimbal head. It is lightweight, easy to carry, and works smoothly when shooting. Get yours today!
