Best Canon R7 Battery
The Canon EOS R7 uses the Canon LP-E6NH battery. Going for the original one is a no-brainer as it ensures compatibility and reduces the risk of failure.
It currently retails for $79, which is a little high. But it has a capacity of 2130mAh and you get the peace of mind of it working on the get go.
If you are looking for a third-party battery for your Canon EOS R7, you might consider the Watson LP-E6NH battery. However, it is only cheaper by around $20 than the original one, so going for the first-party battery is the better option.
Lastly, SmallRig has an upcoming LP-E6NH battery and dual-charger combo for $55. Pretty much an affordable option but at the same time, this is a new release from the company so take the quality with a grain of salt.
Best Memory Card for the Canon R7
The Canon R7 has a dual UHS-II memory card slots and the best memory card for it at the moment is the Delkin Devices Black UHS-II memory cards.
These cards are tough and has excellent read and write speeds rated at 300MB/s and 250MB/s. It has water, dust, and shock protection too.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro cards are already a go-to recommendation for cameras that use UHS-II SDXC cards and that is for a good reason. It has a read speed of 300MB/s and a write speed of 260MB/s.
These cards are a little slower than CFExpress cards, but for the Canon R7, it is more than enough.
If you want another option the you may also consider the SanDisk Extreme Pro cards. They have almost the same read and write speeds as the Delkin Devices cards so you will not have any problems using it.
Best Memory Card Reader
The Delkin Devices USB SDXC card reader is a safe bet when it comes to UHS-II SDXC card readers. It is compact and easily fits into your bag or camera pocket.
This memory card reader is lightweight and uses USB 3.1 connection for fast transfers. It also comes with an SDXC Delkin Advantage card as an added bonus.
Best Memory Card case
The Pelican 0915 Memory Card Case fits 12 SD cards, 6 mini SD cards, and 6 micro SD cards. It is one of the best options if you want a secure case for your memory cards.
This case is shock resistant and waterproof too. It is also tested to withstand harsh elements that might damage your memory card.
Best Flash Bracket for the Canon R7
The ProMediaGear BBX2 Boomerang Flash Bracket is the best one out there. There are a lot of models available out there but they are not as durable as the Boomerang flash bracket.
It is tall enough for cameras such as the Canon R7. It is made of lightweight material and has an adjustable arm that is easy to unlock and lock.
The bracket plate that comes with it is also modular which means you may use it as a base for an L-Bracket, camera grip and handles.
Best External Flash for the Canon R7
The Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT is possibly the best external flash for the Canon R7. It is compact yet powerful for multiple types of shoot.
The zoom range is enough for any focal range and it also features a 24-105mm motorized zoom range. The TTL capabilities make it easier to shoot with on-camera flash during events or in situations where the light constantly changes.
Another advantage is its size. It is not that huge compared to flagship external flashes. The size is a perfect balance for the Canon R7.
This Speedlite is affordalbe at $299 and for its capabilities, it is worth it.
Best Canon EOS EF to EOS-R Lens Adapter
If you are coming from a Canon DSLR and you have a lot of Canon EF/EFS lenses then do not ditch them. The Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R is the perfect accessory for your lenses.
This adapter is dust and water-resistant and allows you to mount Canon EF/EF-S lenses to your Canon R7 or other Canon R cameras. It also maintains Autofocus and Image Stabilization which other adapters do not have.
It also has a configurable control ring that would help you adjust exposure settings.
Best Tripod for the Canon R7
The Canon R7 is light compared to DSLRs and its older siblings - the Canon R5 and R6.
The ProMediaGear TR344L Carbon Fiber Tripod is a great companion for shooting landscapes or wildlife because of its height and weight. It is made of carbon fiber with four leg sections and only costs $1079.95.
The max load is 60lbs which is perfect for the Canon EOS R7 with a super-telephoto lens attached.
It is also compact when folded so carrying it is not a problem as well as it only weighs 4.3 lbs. It might not be the lightest tripod in its class but it is a reliable camera support that you can bring anywhere.
There are three ball head options from ProMediaGear too. The BH1 is a huge ball head that is perfect for long lenses but is not ideal for traveling due to its bulkiness. However, the BH50 is another option if you need a smooth ball head without breaking the bank.
Best Tabletop Compact Tripod for the Canon R7
The Canon R7 is not that heavy compared to other DSLRs. Thus, a tabletop compact tripod is enough for shooting at low-angles and other unique angles.
The ProMediaGear TR01 Mini Ground Tripod is a viable option if you are looking for one. It is very small and fits any camera bag but it does not compromise in quality. It is made of T6061 aircraft grade aluminum and has a maximum weight capacity of 5 lbs or 2.2 kgs per leg.
Combine the TR01 with a DSLR and lightweight lens and you have a portable setup for impromptu shoots.
