QDP1 - QD Quick Release Plug Connector for Camera Straps or Carabiners

I purchased this to replace the existing, not-so-great, connector on my BlackRapid Sport Breath Strap to connect it to the QD on the lens foot of my Sony 200-600 lens. It has worked out beautifully.

The timing of the creation of these couldn't be better for me. I'm a regular user of the QD attachments for my gear. While the standard types of QD releases were fine, they could be a little finicky to operate at times, particularly when wearing winter gloves. The ability to swap out the types of attachments meant that swapping out these for my old ones was super easy. I would have had to send my shoulder straps back to the maker to swap them out otherwise since the leather tether loops are riveted together. I haven't used the PD safety tethers only because the straps I use already have their own which you can see in the photo. I bought the four pack and swapped out all of my QD connecters for these ones. I couldn't be more pleased with them. They hold my Z9 + 400mm f/2.8 on one side and my Z8 + 70-200mm f/2.8 on the other securely and I have zero worries about a failure.

I don't know why I took so long to purchase the QD quick release plug connector for my camera straps. The QD has made things a lot easier to remove the BlackRapid wrist strap to my BH1 ball head

This is the highest quality QD plug I’ve ever used. It’s tremendously flexible with the included attach point options and safety tether, and that quality is really appreciated when the health of my camera depends on it.

I could not be more satisfied with ProMediaGear's strap port connectors. I have used the SS2 connector with my Black Rapid camera strap for the past 5 years. Due to a change in the cage, I am using with my Canon R5 Mk II, I needed to evolve to the QD Quick release plug. I have found the new plug to be of the same level of quality, functionality and workmanship that the SS2 plug represented. I love the option of two different styles of strap attachments. This system truly gives me peace of mind when I attach six to seven thousand dollars of camera/lens gear to my carrying strap.
