Overview

The 8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 includes three components: the 15mm Baseplate V2, the Riser Plate II, and the Arca-Swiss Plate. When assembled, they form a solid camera base that enables quick release from the baseplate and seamless transitions to handheld shooting.

The Arca-Swiss Plate is precisely machined on the inside to align with the safety locks on the Riser Plate II. One side uses a release pin, and the other side features a locking lever, securing the Arca plate from both ends when mounted.

The long center slot in the Arca Swiss Plate allows flexible mounting to a camera cage in multiple configurations, depending on the cage’s threaded mounting points, using the included 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch screws.

The 15mm Baseplate V2 includes two 32mm rosettes built to the ARRI standard, along with 15mm rod ports. The rear of the baseplate features six 1/4-inch threaded mounting points, which can be used to attach a Shoulder Pad and convert the system into a shoulder rig. The bottom of the 15mm Baseplate V2 is compatible with standard ARRI dovetail plates.

The 8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate follows the Arca Swiss standard, but its safety locking mechanism is a custom 8Sinn design. To ensure full functionality, the Riser Plate II must be used specifically with the 8Sinn Arca Swiss Plate designed for the Riser Plate II.
