PLCR56 L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 Overview
The ProMediaGear PLCR56 L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 is made of CNC machined aluminum. It is durable, lightweight, and fits both camera models perfectly.
This L-bracket allows for quick changes from portrait to landscape orientations. The camera position does not alter the composition drastically. Instead, you can adjust your composition without moving the tripod head. Furthermore, the offset allows the full articulation of the LCD screen.
Moreover, the PLCR56 fits all Arca-Swiss compatible clamps. Yes, other brands included. This makes it an excellent choice as an L-bracket for your Canon R5 or R6.
In addition, this ProMediaGear L-bracket has a sliding vertical piece for quick side port access. Other models block the cable ports. But, ProMediaGear designed this bracket for quick port access. Also, you may still access the battery port easily.
ProMediaGear added tons of extra features too. There are precise centering lines for panoramas. Then, if you have lots of accessories, the extra 1/4-20" mounts are perfect. Plus, this bracket even has an integrated magnetic Allen wrench storage.
Lastly, you may add the ProMediaGear A10 port protector for added security. This prevents the cable from getting removed while in use. This is helpful when the camera is stable and tethered.
If you are looking for a Canon R5 or R6 L-bracket then look no further. The ProMediaGear PLCR56 L-bracket has everything that you need. It is durable, lightweight, and custom-fitted for both models. Ultimately, you get a 5-year warranty too!
I've been looking a L brackets for my R6 for some time now, but all that I've looked at didn't play nicely with the rear screen. I've also wanted an OCF bracket to reduce the potential strain on the R6 hot shoe. Amazingly, this bracket satisfied both needs. As added bonuses, the bracket also serves as a side handle, and the QD socket on the bottom works great with my Black Rapid strap. Build and machining of the bracket are top-notch.
This L-bracket is a great product! I am using it on the Canon R5. It is well designed and enables full articulation of the LCD because the vertical arm is offset forward, and it doesn't create the opportunity to damage the LCD under everyday use. Additionally, because the vertical component of the L-bracket is offset forward, it can serve as a handle so that both hands are holding the camera while shooting video. It results in a much more stable platform for videos. Manufacturing delivered a solid, stable, and precisely manufactured product. Another convenient feature built into this product is a place to store the hex wrench! It is a small thing, but it dramatically enhances the user experience. Well worth every penny of the purchase price! Nicely done!
The ProMediaGear L Bracket for the Canon R5 is the only one I found were the vertical bracket was offset forward, making easy access to the left side connections. I frequently shoot night scenes with a CamRanger2 that connects to one of these ports. The full articulation of the screen is an important added bonus for me. This is a high quality product with a high price, but still a good value.
The PLCR56 L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 is hands down the best L Bracket on the market. I have tried RRS L Bracket (which is pretty good) but this L Bracket truly is better all the way round. - Good Job!
I love all my L-Brackets from RRS. When I purchased my Canon R5, an L-bracket from RRS was a no-brainer....until, that is, I fortunately did a little research. The R5 has an articulating view screen which is the first camera I have owned with this feature. It's a great feature but I didn't understand the impact an L-bracket would have on it's functionality. The RRS bracket design restricts the movement in that the screen must be "fed" through the bracket's access channels in order to flip the screen open. It seemed like I could easily damage the camera if I wasn't paying attention to the process. That's when I discovered the L-Bracket from ProMediaGear. It is brilliantly designed in that the articulating screen is not limited whatsoever. There are no mechanical limitations and access to the camera's ports is greatly improved! Plus, there is an added bonus in the design in that the offset location of the vertical portion of the bracket acts as a left hand grip! I am surprised as to how quickly I became accustomed to this added feature. It's amazing! Better design, more functionality and impeccable manufacturing has won me over! This is the ONLY bracket worthy of my R5.
