ProMediaGear TRS01 Compact Apex Overview
The ProMediaGear TRS01 Compact Apex includes everything you need to transform your regular ProMediaGear TR34 Series tripods into a smaller form factor.
The TR34 Series tripods are already lightweight. But why not make it smaller?
With the TRS01 Compact Apex, you are reducing the overall diameter of the TR34 Series tripods. This makes it easier to store and transport.
Build quality is top-notch as it is made of T6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. Also, the black anodized finish makes it abrasion and corrosion resistant. The brass bushings are there for maintenance-free use.
The only thing missing on the TRS01 Compact Apex is the bubble level. Users will to use an external bubble level or their camera's built-in level during their shoot.
Moreover, ProMediaGear accessories such as the 75mm bowls or levelling heads will not fit here.

I'm very satisfied with this interchanagable apex system.
Changing the apex looks a bit cumbersom. But, there's no other tripods meet this expectation.
If I were to climb up to the mountain or go abroad, I would choose the small apex.
In the normal situation, I would choose the standard.
This is an elegant solution to reduce the size and weight of your PMG 34 series tripod. The modular PMG apex is brilliant and very versatile, but adds to the diameter of these tripods. Usually that's not problem for me, but I sometimes prefer a more compact solution. I installed this on my TR344 with BH50 and this will likely be my go-to travel tripod setup. It's built to PMG's high standards and includes the tools needed to swap, as well as the silicone/PTFE grease. The compact apex is a perfect fit to the BH50, which I'm sure is intentional. Thank you PMG.
