What is an Arca-swiss plate?
Arca-swiss developed their own quick-release mounting system several years ago. It uses 38mm wide camera plates with a 45-degree dovetail. A screw clamp secures the plate to the tripod. Since then, camera manufacturers have adopted the system and have become the "unofficial" universal QR plate.
ProMediaGear plain plate vs modular bracket plates
ProMediaGear plain camera plates are low-profile yet Arca-swiss compatible. The Modular bracket plates have mounts for Boomerang flash brackets, L-Brackets, and other compatible accessories. It has a hardened steel support pin system and threaded adapters for several attachments.
