I am really liking the L bracket because I like that I can articulate my OM-1 Mk II LCD screen while using it. I also purchased the QD Quick Release Plug Connector for Camera Straps or Carabiners so that I could adapt my Blackrapid strap to use with the L bracket, which I really like. These products appear very well designed and solid.

This is my second PMG tripod. The TR424L is the tripod for windy conditions, feeding grounds, and when walking distance isn't significant. It's the tripod for use with heavy R3 + 600mm f4 equipment.
I've had other brands, equally or heavier, but never as solid.
Recently, one of the sections failed, and I had no problems with its replacement under warranty, no ridiculous questions, or hidden clauses.
This is my general-use tripod, as it provides the security and solidity required for my equipment in the changing weather conditions and terrain of Costa Rica's tropical forests.
A great product for those of us who are demanding and don't sacrifice quality and solidity for anything.

This gimbal head is just about perfect for my needs, which are to switch between stills and video with a heavy telephoto lens. I switched from a carbon fiber gimbal head for smoother panning and because the old one would recoil a bit when I locked it down, making it very difficult to center a bird. The build quality on the Katana Jr is outstanding, and the motion is very smooth. The pan and tilt knobs are capable of adjusting the tension precisely, though it takes a few seconds to get it just right. Once you get it, though, you have the best of both worlds: you can track quickly like any gimbal head, but if you stop and let go, the lens will stay exactly where you left it, with no recoil whatsoever. I’m sure a fluid head would be better if all I was doing was video, but it’s quite good at that and just about perfect for stills. It’s also, amazingly, lighter than my old carbon fiber gimbal head.
I have been using the side-mount version because it’s about half a pound lighter than with the cradle. The disadvantages are that it takes a bit longer to balance the lens and that, unless you have an L-bracket (which I don’t), you won’t be able to mount the camera in landscape orientation (if, for example, you switch to a smaller lens to take a landscape photo). Thankfully, ProMediaGear sells a conversion (A40), so if you don’t like the side mount, you can switch to the cradle.
To sum up, the Katana Jr is just about perfect for still photography with a big telephoto, quite competent for video, surprisingly light, and well made.
I got two of these L brackets back in 2021 for my R5 and R6. I shoot weddings and was dealing with a lot of wrist pain and carpal tunnel in my right hand from holding the weight of an R5, L lens and flash for 6-8 hours at a time. I decided to switch to this L bracket, primarily to utilize the L bracket as a secondary handle for my left hand. I got a local leather craftsman to wrap the upright part in leather so its a really comfortable handle. Also thanks to the Promedia modular system, I was able to put two pins on the bottom in opposite corners so I could utilize the pin style of belt clip. The placement of these pins is crucial and it would not be possible to place the pins where they are with another system. Now, the camera can be dropped into the belt clip from two directions, held in two different ways with either hand, and because I have both cameras set up the exact same way there is never any need to worry about making a mistake. I never have shoulder pain because the cameras ride on my hip, and I never have wrist pain because I can always switch up which hand is holding the camera or just use both hands while shooting. It changed everything for me. I've never seen any other system come close to this.

A well built solid L Bracket for my Canon R5mkii.

FINALLY. like other than the birth of my baby boy...this is the very next thing II was looking forward to....this completes the functionality check box. - for photos and video this is a lifesaver for time restricted jobs. has saved my butt several times just in the past month - headshots for CES and video run and gun segments.barely adds any weight to the overall structured it ROCK SOLID. typical over engineering from ProMediaGear. - don't think about it - if you have 42 sticks get this.

Best L bracket in the market. I'm using with a Sony A7R3.

All Promedia Gear products are exceptionally crafted to deliver and perform in all conditions. I like the LC2 Lens Foot for Canon Telephoto Lenses because I do not need to add an Arca Swiss plate, and it has a built-in strap port for those times when I am hiking and handholding the lens.

Real happy with my PBX3 L-Bracket. Used about 10 times in the last month. As always the ProMedia Gear quality is top notch.
Although it is a universal bracket it fits perfectly on my OM-1 Mark ii camera. The PLX3t offset design allows the
LCD screen to twist and pivot in all directions. Mounts flawlessly in both landscape and portrait orientations.
The gripping power of the base is as-if this was created specifically for the OM-1 camera. Previously owned another brand L-bracket
designed specifically for the OM camera but it restricted full use of the LCD screen. The LCD screen provides a ton of versatility
for close to the ground positioning of camera.

The PMG GT2G Tomahawk is an exemplary gimbal accessory for any Arca-Swiss compatible ball head. On a Leofoto tripod with LH-40 ball head, or an iFootage Cobra ll Monopod, it mounts effortlessly and extremely solidly. Once attached to a ball head or monopod, the Tomahawk supports a telephoto lens, in my case, a Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 telephoto zoom extremely well, and offers very smooth rotation and tilt, with a fine drag adjustment. The CNC machining is superb, and I believe the rated 50 lb load capacity. This makes tracking birds (BIF) quite enjoyable! Obviously very highly recommended!

It took ProMediaGear a while to design and fabricate the PLNZ83X Arca-swiss L-Bracket for Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera
Complete L-Bracket with QD Strap Port (includes PLNZ8 + PLX3) but the wait was worth it for me. In the mean time I tried out 2 other vendors but their offering were not as great as ProMediaGear’s (mostly due to lack of expansion rails). The expansion rails allow you to eliminate cable interference while mounting on an Arca Swiss connection in portrait orientation. Also the rubber cap protectors can be fully opened when in an extended mode. The rigidity of the extension rails is really high so you don’t have to worry about flexing even when using a long heavy lens mounted on the camera. Of importance is the addition of the QD Quick Release Plug on the bottom plate. I have also replaced the lens foot on my 100-400mm Nikon zoom so I can rapidly switch from the L-Bracket base to the lens foot using the QD plug. If you purchase this L-Bracket I strongly suggest you look at the QDP1 - QD Quick Release Plug connector as an additional option which works great on a cross shoulder strap rig. I have thought about the offset version but since I it’s my own pocket money here I am very happy with the compromise here. There are much cheaper QD connectors available on Amazon but I personally will not risk allowing my invested camera gear to fly off when hiking. Another accessory I would recommend adding is the CS2 Aluminum Cold Shoe Adapter (be sure to get the anti-rotation pins) to mount other accessories such as a lightning trigger, lights, etc. I have not received any compensation from ProMediaGear for this review and this is my personal opinion based on actual usage hoping this helps other photographers.

I’ve had several leading brand brackets for my gear. However, without exception, the PMG PLNZ9 is the best made and has the most useable flexibility of them all. Pictured on my Z9, I have the vertical grip partially extended as I often hand hold the camera and it is a very adjustable hand grip without sacrificing too much, if any, portrait mounted functionality. Highly recommended and the company’s customer service and product catalog are each number one.

Monopod is sturdy, height works well and adjustments are easy. I have noticed improved clarity using this monopod in wildlife photography. I would recommend. Attached pic showing heavy crop in low light using Nikon z8 with 180-600 and pro media 34ml.

I've been using a video heads(Sachtler FSB8 etc.) to take pictures of wild birds by super telephoto lens(600mm f4).
However, video heads are very heavy and I was very tired when bird watching, so I considered installing a gimbal head to reduce the weight of the head.
My requirement for a gimbal head was to be able to easily adjust the friction in the tilt and pan directions.
After looking up reviews on various gimbal heads on YouTube, etc., I bought the GKJr Katana Pro Gimbal head because it looked good.
When I checked the operation of the gimbal head I received, the friction adjustment was as expected and was excellent, so I am very satisfied.
In addition, since the clamp width was small at about 60 mm, I changed the Cradle Clamp to Wimberley SP-WH-001(the width is about 90mm).
And an original pan handle has been added to improve operability.
I'm very satisfied now.

"Using the TR344 with heavy gear and long lenses was easy and enjoyable, thanks to the compact profile and lighter weight of the whole package, without any corresponding compromise in height or performance."
